The fact that after a massive missile attack this week we can go through calm energy days proves the professionalism of our power engineers.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the partial blackout on Saturday and Sunday was a proof of the professionalism of the electricity industry, but it was not yet a decisive victory in the field of energy.
“On this day, yesterday, most Ukrainians passed without many power outages. Of course, in some places, unfortunately, in some cities there are still restrictions – where the level of destruction is very significant. And, of course, with the start of a new work week, we will consume more, therefore, there will be closing schedules. But the very fact that after the continuous terrorist attacks of missiles, Shaheds, after a massive missile raid this week we can go through calm energy days, proves the professionalism of our power engineers and the great dedication of everyone working to ensure the energy system,” said Zelensky said in his video message.
At the same time, the President urged to realize that “it is not yet a decisive victory in the field of energy.”
“Unfortunately, there may be new terrorist attacks from Russia, there may be new restrictions if there is new destruction and an increase in consumption. But today and yesterday, this is another evidence that, through cooperation and helping each other, Ukrainians are doing great things,” he said.
It can be recalled that due to the decrease in consumption over the weekend and the commissioning of two NPP units, the limits for the regions on Sunday, February 12, were not released.
