Defense companies elsewhere in Europe are also in talks with Ukraine, but the country has already been visited by British officials who are trying not to be outdone by rivals from Germany and France.
Ukraine intends to organize joint production of military equipment and weapons under license with the UK. Such plans are being discussed by senior defense industry officials of the two countries on Saturday, February 11, The Daily Telegraph wrote, citing sources.
According to the publication, representatives of Britain have already visited Ukraine to discuss the issue of production.
Previously, we were talking about the creation of joint ventures that would produce weapons and vehicles. It is worth noting that, according to the authors of the material, many countries are conducting similar negotiations with Ukraine. British companies are striving to stay ahead of competitors from Germany and France.
It was noted that any joint venture would likely require the personal approval of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
At the same time, the British Prime Minister’s office and the kingdom’s Ministry of Defense refused to comment, redirecting the question to industrialists.
It should be noted that Ukraine and one of the NATO member countries began to jointly produce mines of 120-mm caliber.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine began to produce 82-mm mines abroad – at the facilities of one of the NATO member countries. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have already received thousands of mines with improved characteristics.
