The lack of power generation in Ukraine will decrease due to the fact that two more power units have been launched. This was said by the Minister of Energy Herman Galushchenko, Suspіlne reports.
“They will reduce the deficit in the energy system itself in terms of generation. This is a very important decision, an important event today. I am sure that our citizens will experience the reduction of the deficit, first of all,” explained the official.
He noted that the main two reasons in terms of limiting the supply of electricity for consumption are the lack of generation and electricity transmission problems.
“In fact, yesterday there was another massive attack that hit both generation and transmission capabilities. Today, by launching the appropriate blocks, we significantly reduce the deficit in the system. Accordingly, it will affect duration of the outages,” the leader said. Ministry of Energy.
According to him, the ministry is working on the possibility of increasing the electricity production capacity. He explained that there are several key areas, namely:

the second is the ability to use mothballed equipment;

the third is the decentralization of the energy system.
“This is a whole series of diverse decisions that are being actively implemented,” the minister concluded.
Remember that SINRU has banned the operation of power units No. 3, 4, 5, 6 of Zaporozhye NPP due to the impossibility of eliminating identified violations of nuclear and radiation safety requirements.
