Lithuania handed over to Ukraine a batch of L-70 anti-aircraft guns designed to combat drones.
This was announced today, February 11, on his Twitter page by Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas.
The batch of L-70 anti-aircraft guns sent by Lithuania and their ammunition, which will help protect critical infrastructure, has already arrived in Ukraine, he said, posting a photo of the unloading of one of these guns.
On February 9, at a joint briefing with Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, Anushauskas said that Ukraine would receive “36 anti-aircraft missile systems that can successfully fight drones.”
L70 guns are designed to destroy aircraft, helicopters and drones at a distance of up to 5 km in all weather conditions. Recently, the Ukrainian military has been trained to work with these systems.
