The commander of the 22nd Army Corps of Coastal Troops of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy has been accused of launching an aggressive war.
The first case in the full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation went to court – an accusation against Russian General Denis Lyamin. This was announced on Friday, May 6, by Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova.
According to him, Lyamin was the commander of the 22nd Army Corps of the Coastal Forces of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy, which led the invasion of Ukraine from the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The investigation found that on February 23, a Russian general in the city of Dzhankoy on the Crimean peninsula personally ordered subordinate personnel of armed units to invade Ukraine. In addition, Lyamin organized and controlled the conduct of battles in the southern regions.
As indicated, the mayor general justified the need to kill Ukrainians by wanting to protect Russian-speaking residents from “Ukrainian nationalists and fascists.” He also promised his subordinates the payment of three additional official salaries and a daily allowance of 100 US dollars, which were ultimately not received by the soldiers.
Lyamin was charged with launching an aggressive war and violating the territorial integrity of Ukraine (part 2 of article 437 and part 3 of article 110 of the Criminal Code).

Earlier, the Zaporozhye Regional Prosecutor’s Office announced suspicion in the absentia of Major General, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the National Guard of the Russian Federation for the Krasnodar Territory on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war, involving planned murder.
