Every second Ukrenergo substation has been attacked by Russian terrorists for the past four months.
During the conflict, Ukraine temporarily lost 44% of nuclear generation, 75% of thermal power plants and 33% of block thermal power plants. Said data was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmygal at a government meeting on Friday, February 10.
“In general, due to the ongoing attacks, almost two dozen power units of thermal power plants remain damaged. If we add to this the fact of the occupation of part of our power facilities, Ukraine temporarily lost 44% of nuclear generation, 75% of thermal power plants and 33% of block thermal power plants,” he said.
The prime minister also noted that every second substation of Ukrenergo was attacked within four months.
“Despite this fear, most Ukrainians are left without heat, water and electricity. Repairs are underway, there are enough resources to finish the winter, generators are coming, utilities energy from partners is on the way. Dozens of missile attacks and shaheed drones, 123 days of energy terrorism… We survived and will successfully complete this heating season,” assured the Prime Minister .
It will be remembered that on Friday night and in the morning, the Russian Federation attacked Ukraine 14 times with missiles and kamikaze drones. Most of them were shot down, but power facilities in six regions were damaged.
