Special services exposed the illegal activities of former high-ranking officials who received illegal super-profits from the extraction of gas from underground.
Employees of the SBU and the State Bureau of Investigation conducted a series of searches as part of criminal proceedings on abuse of official position by officials of PJSC NAC Nedra Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
Investigative actions took place at the places of actual residence of the defendants and at the places of office of their respective companies, the real beneficiaries of which are the Russian oligarch and the People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the VIII convocation.
As a result of the searches, the following were found and seized:

black records and documentation proving the illegal operations of commercial structures under their control;

communication and computer equipment;

about 300 thousand US dollars, 250 thousand euros and 1.5 million UAH in cash.
According to the investigation materials, as a result of the illegal activities of the officials of PJSC NAC Nedra of Ukraine and a number of commercial structures, Ukraine lost the right to the Sakhalin oil and gas field in the Kharkiv region .
And this despite the fact that more than 1 billion hryvnias were spent from the state budget for the development of this field. According to geological exploration data, gas deposits in this facility amount to at least 15 billion cubic meters.
As part of criminal proceedings under Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of power or official position), comprehensive investigation and operational measures are ongoing to establish all circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.
Measures to expose intruders are carried out by employees of the SBU and the SBI under the procedural leadership of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
And although the SBU did not name the names of the defendants in the case, the media found out about it.
