Volodymyr Zelensky held talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban as part of the EU leaders’ summit in Brussels and invited him to visit Kyiv.
According to the Hungarian publication Népszava, at the summit, the heads of state and government were divided into four groups for negotiations with Zelensky. Orban met with Zelensky in the company of the leaders of Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Croatia, Austria and Slovenia.
They shook hands, and the Hungarian Prime Minister posted a photo at that moment on Facebook.
Viktor Orban is the most pro-Russian among EU leaders, having repeatedly spoken out against anti-Russian sanctions. But before the EU summit with Zelensky, Orban promised further financial support to Ukraine and stressed that Hungary belongs to the camp of peace.
