The Romanian Air Force ensures that a Russian missile never crosses their airspace.
The surveillance system of the Romanian Air Force on Friday, February 10, recorded a rocket of the Russian invaders, which flew towards Ukraine. However, it did not cross Romanian airspace. This was reported by the Romanian Ministry of Defense.
“The aerial surveillance system of the Romanian Air Force recorded on Friday, February 10, an aerial target launched from the Black Sea from a ship of the Russian Federation, near the Crimean peninsula, probably a cruise missile,” the statement said.
The missile entered Ukrainian airspace and then crossed the Moldovan border, but never flew over Romania, the Air Force said.
“The closest point of the target’s trajectory in Romanian airspace was recorded by radar systems about 35 km northeast of the border,” they added.
Romania leaves two planes to control the airspace.
Recall, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny said that the Kalibr cruise missiles fired by the invaders throughout the territory of Ukraine entered the airspace of Romania and Moldova during the flight.
As you know, on Friday, February 10, Russia launched its 14th mass missile attack on Ukraine.
