A group of drug dealers was exposed in the Carpathian region, whose members produced and distributed drugs throughout the country, including front-line areas, and tried to find channels for the sale of “the goods” to the Ukrainian military. This was reported by the press service of GBR.
“According to preliminary data, the monthly circulation of drugs is at least 10 million hryvnias. The criminal group includes more than ten people. Narcotic substances are produced in clandestine laboratories. Couriers and mail are used to distribute the drugs,” the report said.
The production and sale of amphetamine, ecstasy, hashish and marijuana has been documented.
“The State Investigation Bureau conducted 26 authorized searches in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, during which almost 4 kg of amphetamine, 1 kg of marijuana, other narcotic substances and precursors were obtained, from which at least 30 thousand doses can be made. The value of seized raw materials on the black market reached at least UAH 5 million,” the State Bureau of Investigation reports.
During the searches, laboratory equipment, bank cards, mobile terminals, computer equipment and more than 300 thousand hryvnias were seized, and a St. George ribbon to one of the defendants.
Three people were detained and charged with suspicion of manufacturing and selling narcotic drugs, the pre-trial investigation continues.
The State Bureau of Investigation states that the arrest of the defendants’ property will be initiated.
