After Ukraine’s victory, any aggressor, big or small, will know what awaits him in the event of an attack on the international order, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
The victory of Ukraine with the support of the Western allies against the aggressor Russia will change the world and will be the most important for our time. President Volodymyr Zelensky said this on Wednesday, February 8, in his speech to British deputies in Westminster Hall during his visit to the UK.
“We will always overcome evil. This is the basis of our and your traditions. But as soon as the old evil is defeated, a new one tries to raise its head… But we know: freedom will win, we know Russia will win . lose,” Zelensky said to the applause of British MPs.
He assured that the success of Ukraine will change the world and these are exactly the changes that the world needs for a long time.
“Britain is marching with us to the greatest victory of our lifetime. It is a victory against the very idea of war. After the victory in Ukraine, any aggressor – big or small – will know what awaits him in the event of a attack on the international order,” the president added.
Also, in his speech, Zelensky called on the UK and other Western countries to provide aircraft to Ukraine.
“In the UK, the king is an Air Force pilot, and in Ukraine today, every Air Force pilot is a king. We have freedom, give us wings to protect it. I believe that this symbol will help us in our next coalition, an aircraft coalition … Wings for freedom,” the president said.
Earlier on Wednesday, the UK government announced the transfer of more long-range weapons to Ukraine. Also, the training of sailors and fighter pilots for the Armed Forces of Ukraine should begin as soon as possible.
