Meng Wanzhou will take on the role of a successor president in a technology company Huawei April 1st.
According to state media Shanghai Security Newsfounder’s daughter Huawei will assume this position after difficult years, when his legal position caused great tension between USA And China.
Who is Meng Wanzhou?
Wanzhou became the central figure between the two countries until his return to China.
Meng, now 50, was CFO Huawei when she was arrested on December 1, 2018 during a stopover in Vancouver at the request of US authorities.
Accused of “bank fraud,” Meng was accused of lying to circumvent US sanctions against Iran, a crime punishable by more than 30 years in prison in the United States, where she was threatened with extradition.
