On Tuesday, a man was seriously injured after he set himself on fire in front of a building. Moroccan Consulate of Madrid, reported AFP police and diplomatic sources, unable to provide reasons for their actions at this time.

The man, who suffered “severe burns”, was taken to hospital, according to an emergency services spokesman. Madrid Hospital La Paz.

A police source said the man “burnt himself in front of the Moroccan consulate” but did not provide more details about what happened.

“We do not know the reasons that made him do it. It happened very quickly, emergency services arrived very quickly, ”explained sources in the Moroccan Embassy in Spain on his side. “There was no communication with the consulate, it happened in front of the consulate,” he added.
