Assistance in the energy sector is provided by the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves of Poland and the Ministry of Climate and Environment.
Poland wants to send Ukraine the equipment needed by Ukrainian power engineers to restore industry. This was announced on Tuesday, February 7, by Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Piotr Wawrzyk, Ukrinform writes.
He noted that the supply of equipment will be carried out by Polish energy companies together with the country’s authorities.
“In the coming days, there will be a third aid package with energy equipment for Ukraine,” Wawrzyk said.
He recalled that the first package arrived in Ukraine from Poland at the end of November, the second – at the end of December. Most of the aid was delivered to the Khmelnytsky NPP.
Poland is the coordinator among EU countries for supporting Ukraine in the energy sector. On January 26, 2023, the Energy Hub was opened in Poland, thanks to which the EU will provide appropriate assistance to Ukraine.
Remember, on February 7, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) gave Ukraine a mobile gas turbine power plant with a total capacity of 28 MW.
It was also reported that in Odessa the electricity situation is gradually improving after the substation accident. Now residents receive electricity for four to five hours a day.
