The country has expressed its readiness to conduct group training, especially for Ukrainian sappers, as well as medical courses and basic training for the Ukrainian military.
Poland, within the framework of the EU mission EUMA, plans to conduct monthly military training of two battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced on Tuesday by Poland’s Deputy Minister of National Defense Wojciech Skurkiewicz, Ukrinform wrote.
“Poland’s proposal is distinguished by the declaration of group training. We will start monthly training of two Ukrainian battalions at the same time. This training will be adapted to the actual needs of the Ukrainian army,” he said.
He noted that Poland presented the largest training offer for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the same time, Skurkevich said that the training of the Ukrainian military should not be limited to training.
“Ukraine should offer a comprehensive package of training troops for combat operations and include a free transfer of equipment in which the defenders of Ukraine are trained,” he said.
It is known that the Ukrainian military was trained in Poland as part of the EU mission. Warsaw acted as one of the organizers of this mission. The headquarters of the mission was established on the basis of the headquarters of the 11th Lubusz armored division in western Poland.
It was previously reported that the Polish army is conducting training on the movement and deployment of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system.
It should be noted that the majority of Poles called the Russian aggression against Ukraine the most important event in 2022, both at the international and national level.
