One of the divisions of the State Border Service in the Donetsk region destroyed an enemy plane with fire from MANPADS.
Ukrainian border guards shot down a Russian combat aircraft, a former Su-25, in the sky over Bakhmut. It was reported on February 7 to the State Border Guard Service.
It was noted that the invaders from the air occupied the infantry advancing on the defense line of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The border guards worked from MANPADS for a target in the air, by the way, this complex was provided by international aid. The plane caught fire and crashed from a missile hit, the fate of the pilot is still unknown,” the service said.
It was earlier reported that the border guards defeated the group of invaders near Bakhmut. During the battle, 26 invaders were neutralized, nine of them died.
