In Odessa and the region, due to a large-scale accident at a substation, 360 thousand people remain without electricity.
The rest receive electricity four hours a day. Despite this, all centralized heating boilers in the city are working, which provides heat for 90% of the inhabitants of Odessa.
On February 6, Odessa received 82 high power generators. They will be used at critical infrastructure facilities to reduce electricity consumption and transfer it to the population.
The head of the Odesa OVA Maxim Marchenko informed that there are no houses where there is no round-the-clock heat supply, and water supply facilities also function, including with the help of generators.
According to the Ministry of Energy, last night it was possible to increase the duration of the supply of light to people, however, due to the beginning of the working week, consumption increased. Power engineers carry out repair work at the substation around the clock.
There are 342 points of invincibility, including 300 in Odessa.
At the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Prime Minister Denis Shmihal promised that he would work out the issue of allocating funds to the Odessa Regional Military District for the purchase of fuel supplies for generators.
