The head of the OVA denied information from Russian sources about the “seizure” of a settlement in the Luhansk region.
The situation in the Luhansk region is tense, but fully under control, Bialogorivka remains under the control of Ukrainian forces. This was announced on the telethon on February 5 by the head of the regional military administration, Sergei Gaidai.
“The situation is tense, but controlled by our military. All stuff about the fact that “in about 15 minutes a full-scale offensive will begin.” Everyone clearly understands how many reserves transferred and what is happening on the front line. Everyone is ready to fight”, he emphasized.
According to Gaidai, the number of attacks in the region did increase, but they were all being repelled.
“As I understand it, the Russians are investigating where to find a weak spot,” the OVA chief pointed out.
He added that the occupiers spread information about the “seizing” of Belogorovka and the evacuation of people from there.
“First, they don’t know if people stayed there and how many. Second, our fighters stayed in position, no one took Belogorovka. There was no enemy there,” Gaidai emphasized.
Earlier, the American Institute for the Study of War reported that Russian troops continue to prepare for an offensive in the western part of the Luhansk region and Zaporozhye is unlikely to be targeted.
The occupiers continue to impose Russian citizenship in the Donetsk region
