18-year-old Canadian Juliet Lamour won the CA$48 million lottery jackpot on her first try.
She became the youngest winner in the history of the lottery, according to the BBC.
The Canadian press notes that the girl showed unusual rationality for her age and immediately turned to her father, who works as a financial management manager.
According to Juliette, it was he who advised his daughter to fill out the winning lottery ticket. She says that she does not intend to lose her head and wants to properly manage her capital.
I cried. Those were tears of happiness, of course. I still can’t believe I hit the jackpot with my first lottery ticket,” Juliet told reporters.
The girl intends to invest part of the money in her education and learn to be a doctor. She always dreamed about it, but training required finding grants or cash loans.
While she thinks that she will stay in her city and work for the benefit of the community where she grew up.
She plans to spend part of the money on pleasure after graduation (in Canada, students study until they are 17-18 years old).
As soon as I finish school, my family and I will choose any continent and go to explore it. I want to visit different countries, get to know their history and culture, taste their food and listen to their languages, Juliet Lamour shares her dreams.
