The Ukrainian military strengthened the Vuhledar direction with French CAESAR installations.
Footage with these 155-mm artillery mounts in the Donetsk region was shown by French journalists who were allowed into the combat zone. French journalists said that the CAESARs they captured belong to the gunners of the 55th separate artillery brigade.
The area of Vuhledar is the scene of one of the fiercest fighting in Ukraine. Ukrainian soldiers are trying to prevent the Russians from taking this town.
Their daily life consists of shooting and then taking cover in underground shelters of just a few square meters to protect themselves from Russian responses. On the faces of the soldiers, one can see their exhaustion. There are almost no inhabitants left in Ugledar. All houses have turned into ruins, French journalists say.
Ukraine received CAESAR wheeled self-propelled artillery mounts from France as military-technical assistance to counter the occupying Russians.
“Military” writes that the use of these modern installations will increase the fire influence on the Russian forces that are trying to advance in this direction.
