As party leaders explained, it is “open to citizens, elected officials, local elected officials, wherever they come from.”
The Forward Republic party of French President Emmanuel Macron changed its name to the Renaissance. This was announced on Thursday, May 5, by the party’s executive director, Stanislas Guerini, wrote Politico.
“Today we are starting a movement to bring back the Advance Republic to continue to expand this political movement,” he said.
The reason for choosing such a name Guerini explains the intention to show that the party will “consistently make a choice between enlightenment and obscurantism.” So, he added, the party will be “open to citizens, elected officials, local elected officials, wherever they come from.”
It was learned that French President Emmanuel Macron at a rally in Marseille between the two rounds of the April presidential election promised a complete renewal of his party.
In France, parliamentary elections will be held in the summer, in which all 577 deputies of the lower house of parliament will be elected.
Earlier it was reported that the French authorities will increase total financial support for Ukraine to $ 2 billion.
