Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of Poland Mariusz Blaszczak.
This was announced today, February 3, by the press service of the President’s Office.
It is noted that Zelensky thanked Blaszczak for Poland’s comprehensive support in countering Russian aggression and highly appreciated the relationship of a real strategic partnership between the two countries, in particular, noted Warsaw’s leadership in security issues of assistance to Ukraine and its important role in creating a tank coalition thanks to the decision to transfer our Leopard 2 tank company.
Zelensky also presented Blaschak with the Order of Merit, 1st class, which he was awarded for significant personal merits in strengthening interstate cooperation, support for state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
In addition, Zelensky informed Blashchak about the situation at the front and the needs of the Ukrainian defenders. Further joint steps were discussed to strengthen the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, in particular, in the context of preparations for the next meeting of the allies in the Ramstein format.
