Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, held on February 2 at the Elysee Palace, expressed his readiness to send “military stuff” to Kyiv.
At the same time, he stressed that he cannot go too far without provoking Russia. This is reported by The Times of Israel, citing an informed source.
The Israeli prime minister’s office declined to comment on the conversation. At a briefing with reporters, Netanyahu said that during the meeting with Macron he “explained our policy.”
He knows this issue well,” Netanyahu stressed.
Netanyahu did not speak about the upcoming visit to Kyiv by Foreign Minister Eli Cohen.
It is also reported that Netanyahu replied to Macron that “it is too early to think about mediation.” He noted that he would not promote his role as an intermediary between Russia and Ukraine until Russia, Ukraine and the United States asked him to do so.
