After almost a year of aggressive war against the Ukrainian people, Russian troops have not achieved their main goal, the Kremlin spokesman clarified.

Russia has not yet “fully defended” Donbass, so the so-called “special military operation” continues. This is what Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing on Friday, February 3.

This is how he commented on the information that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is forming new assault brigades to participate in offensive operations, including in Donbass and Crimea.

“Donbass is not yet fully protected, so the ‘special military operation’ continues. Actually, we must protect the people living there. Until this goal is fully achieved. This remains to be done,” Peskov said in response to a question about the “protection “temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and whether the Kremlin considers the words of the Ukrainian side a threat.

At the same time, Peskov believes that “the security of Crimea has been ensured to be reliable.”

Earlier, the Kremlin spokesman called the main goal for Russia. According to him, the supply of new weapons to Ukraine will require additional efforts from the Russian Federation.
