Artillerymen of a separate artillery brigade named after General-horunzhy Aleksey Almazov of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the pride of the Russian defense industry, the “killer of bayraktors”, the Arctic air defense system Tor-M2DT.
These complexes, which are armed only with the 80th motorized rifle brigade of the coastal troops of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Navy, entered occupied Ukraine in December last year.
In December 2022, a video appeared in the public domain, which indicates that the Russian invaders in Ukraine began to use Tor-M2DT anti-aircraft missile systems, placed on the chassis of DT-30PM articulated tracked tractors and adapted for use in the Arctic climate.
In total, Russia is armed with 12 complexes of a similar modification, operating in a temperature range of up to minus 50 degrees. Each such air defense system has two vehicles: the first is a vehicle for crew accommodation and fire control, the second is a vehicle with a radar, two launchers for 4 anti-aircraft missiles of the 9M331 or 9M332 types.
The price of such an air defense system is 25 million dollars.
