On February 2, President Zelensky of Ukraine held a meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in a new format for the first time. At first there was a traditional full line-up, which later gathered in a narrow format.
In an evening address to the nation, Zelensky said that the traditional full staff of the Headquarters considered the situation at the front: Russia’s attempts to increase pressure on the Donbass, provision of the army, training of personnel.
In the afternoon, an additional meeting of the Stavka members in a narrow format was held.
For a special conversation. We will not leave any aggressive actions of the occupier without our response. The enemy is in a particular stage. When the strategic loss of Russia is already clear. But tactically they have the resource to attempt offensive actions. We must continue what we are doing. Tighten our resilience, be absolutely alone in the quest to provide our army and all defenders with the necessary weapons and equipment – we in Ukraine need to speak with one voice with the world on defense supplies. And they must also increase the global pressure on Russia every month,” the head of state said.
Zelenskiy also promised a further fight against the internal enemy.
I thank the Security Service of Ukraine, the DBR, the Office of the Prosecutor General and all those who are still involved in the cleansing of our state. There will be new steps,” Zelensky said.
