Who are Disney’s strongest villains?

Villains, heroes, princesses: the magic of the Disney Universe has always enchanted a large part of its audience. But it is not new that attention to great plots is always captivated by villains.

Knowing this, RECREIO went after the strongest villains disney already did. With that, check out our list of some of the names:

1. Chernabog, from ‘Fantasia’ (1940)

Chernabog, of Slavic origin, is described as the source of all evil in a 12th century text, in addition to being a mythical entity. In this same context, it is also known as Chronica Slavorum.

In the plot, with no known limit of power, Chernabog is a demon with an impressive strength. The character manages to make other demons do his bidding, in addition to being able to resurrect some unholy souls.

The villain is only defeated by daylight and the tolling of church bells.

2. Maleficent, from ‘Sleeping Beauty’ (1959)

The possessor of all the powers of hell, she is a witch stronger than the three good fairies, Flora, Fauna and Primavera.

Maleficent, who recently gained prominence with her new film, manages to make the environments be molded from her will, and with that, from her spells, the villain manages to control the climate and practice hypnosis.

3. Madame Mim, from ‘The Sword in the Stone’ (1963)

Madame Mim, who has the ability to change her structure during a duel with her enemy, has in her perception that she manages to have a better magical potential than O DE Merlin.

Among Mim’s powers, one can mention the ability to teleport, fly on a broom, a typical feature of animations involving witches, invisibility and even resistance to pathogenic diseases.

4- Petro Voodoo, from ‘The Princess and the Frog’ (2009)

Most of the powers of the villainous Petro Voodoo, a character from Disney’s ‘The Princess and the Frog’, revolve around voodoo, mostly of the Petro variety. Still, with the power of semi-ocular abilities, through his tarot deck, he has the ability to manipulate his victims, thus making them believe that a false destiny is waiting for them.

5. Hades, from ‘Hercules’ (1997)

Hades, character from the Disney animation ‘Hercules’, has the ability to be a god, and still has frequent attempts to usurp the Mount of his brother Zeus, Olympus.

Among his skills, one can mention the affinity with the fire element, immortality, and even telekinesis.

6. Te Ka from ‘Moana’ (2016)

When stolen by Maui, Te Fiti turns into Te Ka, so the character who was born from the ocean, turns into a volcanic entity in a state of rage, until the title character, Moana, manages to restore her heart.

The character is composed of molten magma, smoke, ash and fire.

7. Ursula from ‘The Little Mermaid’ (1989)

The villain, who is a master of the skill of making potions, has several preparations for different occasions. The character still manages to transfigure any living being when she wants to, and at one point takes Ariel, the mermaid, her voice and even puts human legs.

When the villain acquires Triton’s trident, her powers are increased. From that moment on, it increases in body size, produces thunderclouds with lightning, and even makes an oceanic whirlpool.

8. Shan Yu from ‘Mulan’ (1998)

What makes Shan Yu a high-ranking enemy is his deduction skill and strategic wisdom. Furthermore, his unbreakable willpower and intimidation tactics are among the villain’s most dangerous traits.

9. Syndrome, from ‘The Incredibles’ (2004)

A smart villain, Syndrome manages to build and reverse engineer countless technologies. The character even created the Omnidroid, a robot that can only be defeated by the villain himself.

10. Jafar from ‘Aladdin’ (1992)

With limited powers, the villain of ‘Aladdin’, thus explaining one of the reasons the character spends a lot of time trying to control Agrabah.

In the course of the film and the unfolding of the plot, the villain is transformed into Genie, so that he can be kept inside a lamp.
