The Security Service of Ukraine explained the morning searches in the apartment of Igor Kolomoisky.
The press service of the SBU says that it has exposed large-scale schemes for the appropriation of UAH 40 billion for PJSC Ukrnafta and PJSC Ukrtatnafta by the former management of these companies.
Illegal mechanisms were connected with tax evasion and money laundering.
PJSC Ukrnafta is the largest oil producing company in Ukraine, and PJSC Ukrtatnafta is an oil refinery.
Within the framework of criminal proceedings, 10 episodes of criminal activity are documented. In particular, this is the withdrawal of large consignments of oil products to affiliated companies, tax evasion, the creation of bad debts of the oil refinery and oil production plants, which led to the depreciation and decrease in the value of their assets. According to the investigation, such criminal activity was carried out in the interests of the actual owners and beneficiaries of the companies, according to the official SBU.
The department also published some photos of the search in the apartment of Igor Kolomoisky.
The SBU said that as part of the investigation, together with the Bureau of Economic Security, it conducted a series of searches: at the place of residence of the actual owners and top management of the financial and industrial group, which includes Ukrnafta and Ukrtatnafta, as well as at the addresses of the likely storage of oil products in different regions of Ukraine.
Based on the results of the investigative actions of the top management of PJSC Ukrtatnafta, suspicions of committing criminal offenses were announced. It is not indicated whether Kolomoisky himself received suspicion in the SBU report.
Rakurs reported on a morning search of Kolomoisky’s apartment in Bukovel.
