Since military neutrality does not allow Austria to help military technicians, it will transfer 5 million euros to Ukraine for transformer substations.
Austria intends to transfer 5 million euros to Ukraine for the restoration of transformer substations damaged by Russia. This is what Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen said in a joint briefing with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, RBC-Ukraine reports.
“Our ministry will also provide 5 million euros for the restoration of transformer substations in Ukraine,” he said.
By the way, Austria helps Ukraine only in the humanitarian sphere, because its military neutrality does not allow the transfer of weapons and military equipment.
To be remembered, the Federal President of Austria Van der Bellen on Wednesday, February 1, visited Bucha in the Kyiv region.
Earlier, the head of the Austrian Foreign Ministry expressed disagreement with the exclusion of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov from the OSCE ministerial meeting in Poland. He said the West needs to “maintain a sense of proportion in its relations with Russia, because it will remain part of European history and culture.”
