Russia is preparing for the highest escalation of the war, which could happen in the coming weeks. This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov in an interview with Sky News.
According to him, the attack could be timed on the anniversary of the start of a full-scale war.
“Russia is preparing for the maximum increase. It is gathering everything possible, conducting exercises and training. We understand that everything is on the table … I can say that we do not reject a single scenario in the next two to three weeks, ” stressed Danilov.
He also did not rule out that the invaders could launch an offensive against Ukraine from the south, east and north, as happened on February 24, 2022.
Danilov noted that now the Armed Forces of Ukraine are preparing for all possible scenarios, and this time they have more support from partners than a year ago.
“We have gone through a great difficult period, but I am sure that the main battles are still ahead, and they will take place this year in two to three months. These will be the defining months of the war ,” he says.
The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council added that about half of the more than 320,000 soldiers mobilized in Russia will take part in a new large-scale offensive.
Earlier, Danilov warned about several difficult months and spoke about the situation with missiles from the Russian Federation.
