In the Donetsk region, a deputy of the Seversky city council from the banned party Opposition Platform – During Life was informed of suspicion of collaborative activities (part 7 of article 111-1 of the Criminal Code).
According to the investigation, in October 2022, he agreed to cooperate with a representative of a paramilitary group related to the General Staff with the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
Following the instructions of the infidels, the suspect sent data on the locations of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Seversk, and after the shelling of the city he clarified the results of the arrivals, the report says.
It is noted that for such work he received a reward in the amount of about UAH 6,000 from rashists.
Currently, the deputy has been chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention without an alternative to bail.
The press service of the SBU notes that the deputy was recruited by a representative of military intelligence because of “communication” in the chat of one of the pro-Kremlin Telegram channels.
In addition to data on the deployment of defense forces in the Bakhmut district, he also transmitted the coordinates of local critical infrastructure facilities, in particular power generating enterprises.
The occupiers needed intelligence information to carry out targeted missile strikes on Ukrainian cities, the security service notes. – After enemy shelling, the agent went to the area to fix their consequences and prepare a report to correct repeated strikes.
He was detained on another attempt to transfer classified information to the aggressor.
