There are fewer Russian military in Belarus.
Andriy Demchenko, a representative of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, spoke about this on the air of the Espresso TV channel on January 30.
Along with the border, we do not observe any movement of equipment or personnel. Mostly they are on military training grounds. About 10,000 Russian military may be stationed on the territory of Belarus, we used to note a slightly larger number of them, Demchenko said.
He also simultaneously stated that Russia had deployed new military units to Belarus and returned to Russian territory those troops that had already undergone joint exercises with Belarusians.
The speaker of the State Border Service believes that the situation on the border with Belarus is completely under control, although this direction is quite tense, since Belarus does not stop supporting Russia in the war.
The exercises of the aviation component continue, which should end on February 1.
Fortunately, near our border, we do not note the movement of either military equipment or the personnel of these units. The Russian military is mainly located at the training grounds, which Belarus has provided for the use of Russia, Demchenko said.
