We added that Makhov worked for many years in the TV channels Ukraine and Ukraine24, in October 2021 he switched to the channel Dom. He covered events on the front line, and also served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On February 24, the day of Russia’s massive invasion of Ukraine, Makhov wrote on his Facebook page that he would fight back.
On April 28, Alexander reported that he had been injured, but remained in the ranks. On the night of May 4, his girlfriend Anastasia Blishchik announced that he had died.
