The head of state asked the Danes to remember the 220 Ukrainian children who were victims of the Russian aggression.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke to Danes on the anniversary of Denmark’s liberation from the Nazis. The corresponding video was published by the press service of the head of state on Wednesday night, May 4.
“Every year, Danes light candles all over the country in remembrance of the war and victory against evil. He asked me to mention the Ukrainian children. About 220 children whose lives were taken by this war .Remember that Europe has the ability to make sure this terrible list of murdered “I never grew up with children. Not to be repeated. Thanks, Denmark! Glory to Ukraine! ” – said the Ukrainian leader.
Zelensky expressed the hope that after Ukraine’s victory in the current war, Danish representatives will also talk to Ukrainian citizens when they celebrate the anniversaries of the arrival of peace.
Recall that on May 2, Danish Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod visited Ukraine and started it from the city of Irpin in the suburbs of Kyiv, which was badly damaged as a result of the Russian invasion.
