Colonel Roman Gorbach, Head of the Personnel Department of the Headquarters of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said in a commentary to the Military Media Center that there may be cases when a summons is handed to a person liable for military service who has a reservation or a deferment.
A person liable for military service who has a reservation from a call for mobilization must carry all certifying documents with him. And when they are presented, there will be no summons, said Colonel Roman Gorbach. – But if it has already happened, then with all these documents you need to arrive at the Territorial Center for Acquisition and Social Support, and this agenda will be canceled.
Gorbach notes that according to Art. 25 of the Law of Ukraine “On mobilization training and mobilization”, the following persons liable for military service are subject to booking:
- in state authorities, other state bodies, local self-government bodies, if it is necessary to ensure the functioning of these bodies;
- at enterprises, institutions and organizations that have established mobilization tasks (orders), if this is necessary to fulfill the established mobilization tasks (orders);
- at enterprises, institutions and organizations engaged in the production of goods, performance of works and services necessary to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations;
- at enterprises, institutions and organizations that are critical for the functioning of the economy and the livelihoods of the population in a special period.
The criteria and procedure by which the determination of enterprises, institutions and organizations that are critical for the functioning of the economy and ensuring the livelihoods of the population in a special period are established by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Persons liable for military service specified in part 1 of this article are not subject to acceptance for service in the military reserve.
