Iran weapons factory attacks Israel – WSJ

The US and Israel are looking for new ways to thwart Tehran’s nuclear and military ambitions.

Israel has carried out a covert drone strike on a defense complex in Iran as the US and Israel seek new ways to thwart Tehran’s nuclear and military ambitions, US officials and people familiar with the operation said. The Wall Street Journal.

Iranian officials said Tehran foiled an attempted attack by three small quadcopters on a munitions factory in the city of Isfahan, located next to a facility owned by the Iranian Space Research Center, which was authorized of the US for its work on Iran’s ballistic missile program.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian called the explosions a cowardly blow.

“Such actions will not affect the determination and intention of our experts regarding peaceful nuclear development,” he said.

In this regard, the Israeli military refused to comment, the WSJ notes.

Recall that on the night of January 29, explosions rumbled at several strategic facilities in Iran. The Iranian Defense Ministry claimed that a drone attack had been carried out. In Isfahan, an explosion occurred in a factory warehouse with ammunition.
