Germany has provided a new aid package to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukraine received missiles for IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile systems, 13 trucks, two 15-ton trucks, 12 saddle tractors, four semi-trailers, 12 border guard vehicles and two pickup trucks. This was announced on January 27 by the press service of Germany.
In addition, the German side confirmed that in the future Ukraine will receive 14 Leopard 2 A 6 main battle tanks with ammunition, two Bergepanzer 3 armored recovery vehicles, two air surveillance radars, 64 truck tractors and 72 semi-trailers.
It is noted that part of the equipment will be supplied from the warehouses of the Bundeswehr, and the other part from industry, financed as a result of the government’s modernization initiative.
Berlin also emphasized that, for security reasons, information on the methods and timing of the delivery of weapons would not be reported.
Recall, on January 27, Brussels announced to Ukraine a record military aid in the amount of 90 million euros. The Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive from Belgium AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles for NASAMS, launchers for Mistral air defense systems, small arms and ammunition for it.
