Russian occupiers attacked objects in Kyiv and Zaporozhye with Kh-47 Kinzhal missiles during shelling on January 26.
This was announced on the air of the national telethon by the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Yuriy Ignat.
He noted that the Kinzhal flies with a ballistic trajectory, and the MiG-31K fighter delivers it to the upper atmosphere, launches it, and the missile descends at great speed during the approach to the target.
Ignat said that the Russians use these missiles to strike at the most strategic targets for them.
This time, one of the facilities in Zaporozhye and a critical infrastructure facility in Kyiv turned out to be. That was their strategic goal – to leave one district of Kyiv without electricity, – said Ignat.
The Kh-47 Kinzhal is a modified Iskander missile that flies in a ballistic trajectory at ultra-high speeds.
In addition, Ignat said that on January 26, the Russians launched X-55 missiles with a nuclear simulator in Ukraine in order to disperse Ukrainian air defense.
It (rocket – “Rakurs”) can also be used as a decoy. Let’s assume that the missiles fly in a compartment – five pieces: of them there can be two X-55s and three X-101s (an air-to-ground cruise missile) fly along the route. In order to deplete, disperse, so that we spend missiles on them, – said the representative of the Air Force.
