Ukraine will receive more than 320 Western tanks – ambassador

Kyiv, as part of the military aid, will receive 321 Western-style armored vehicles from the allies, Vadim Omelchenko said.

Ukraine will receive 321 tanks from Western partners as part of military assistance, which will help it resist Russian aggression. This was stated by the Ambassador of Ukraine to France, Vadim Omelchenko, according to the French TV channel BFM TV.

“We need this help as soon as possible,” he said.

The diplomat also added that the delivery time depends on the type of tank and the country of origin.

“If you wait until August or September, it’s too late,” Omelchenko summed up.

It should be noted that, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian army needs 300 to 500 tanks to carry out a counteroffensive and liberate the temporarily occupied territories.

We add that US President Joseph Biden officially announced the supply of 31 M1 Abrams tanks and other equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
