The leader of the United States announced that Ron Klein will be replaced by Jeff Zients as Chief of Staff of the White House.
US President Joseph Biden has appointed Jeff Zients to replace Ron Klein, with whom he has worked for more than 30 years, as White House chief of staff. This was stated in an official statement published on Friday, January 27, on the White House website.
“Over the past 36 years, Ron and I have been through some real battles together. And when you’ve been in the trenches with someone as long as Ron and I have, you really recognize this person,” the American leader said.
However, at the end of 2022, Klein made it clear to his colleagues in the administration that he is ready to leave the White House in the near future after the implementation of some political victories. He will remain with the president’s team, until the US president’s speech to Congress on the state of affairs scheduled for February 7.
The President of the United States called Zients a specialist who understands the process of managing a team and is focused on completing tasks.
“I’ve seen Jeff Zients solve some of the toughest problems in government,” Biden said in the matter.
Jeff Zients is known for his tough policies in his role as the administration’s COVID-19 response coordinator.
His appointment as White House chief of staff comes ahead of the start of the US presidential campaign, and also against the backdrop of statements by the Republican majority in the House of Representatives to begin their investigations against the Biden team.
As we have already reported, Biden wants to visit Ukraine in the future, but right now the time is not right for such a trip.
In addition, earlier it became known that Biden plans to visit Europe in connection with the anniversary of the Russian Federation’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
