The Russians are running out of Iranian kamikaze drones, so Moscow is asking Tehran for more supplies.
This was announced by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) on January 27.
Analysts estimate that as of January 7, 90 Iranian-made drones remained in service with Russian troops. At the same time, the head of the Russian State Duma, Vyacheslav Vladin, met with Iranian President Raisi in Tehran on January 23 to agree on new deliveries of Iranian-made weapons.
Taking into account the fact that the Ukrainian defenders have learned how to effectively shoot down Shaheeds, this is not enough for Russia.
Russian troops have enough drones for only a few large-scale strikes, unless they receive a new batch from Iran soon. The head of the Russian State Duma, Vladin, met with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi in Tehran on January 23 to expand bilateral cooperation. Probably, it was then that the provision of Iranian-made weapons systems to Russia was discussed, according to ISW.
