Germany to start training Ukrainian military in Marder and Leopard 2

In Germany, the Ukrainian military will begin training on Marder BMP at the end of January, and shortly on Leopard 2 tanks. This was announced by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, Western media write.

It is noted that the training will take place at a training site in Germany.

According to Pistorius, in the case of Marder, classes will begin “before the end of January”, and in Leopard 2 – “later.”

The minister noted that he expects the transfer of the first batch of Leopard 2 to Ukraine “at the end of March or the beginning of April.”

It will be remembered that on January 25, the German authorities decided to transfer the first batch of 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.

It was also reported that the German concern is ready to supply Ukraine with ammunition for Leopard 2 tanks.
