Former President Donald Trump does not remember the name of the Ohio Republican candidate he supported in the Senate.
“Did we approve … JP? No? He asked Nebraska at a political rally on Sunday when it appeared it was looking for someone off stage for help when talking to people.
“JD Mandel,” he finally chose. “And it works perfectly.”
The name he was looking for was JD Vance, the venture capitalist and author of “Hillbilly Elegy,” with no political experience. (To him Josh Mandel; Flee Against Vance GOP Primary May 3.)
On Friday, Vance strangely said that President Joe Biden was trying to “kill a MAGA voter” using fentanyl. He noted that the president deliberately allowed drug traffickers across the southern border to sell the often deadly drug to all right-wing Republican voters of Hartland who were addicted to the drug. Apparently Democratic voters haven’t been touched by such a crazy plan because they don’t use drugs, it’s a reference to Vance.
While Vance praised Trump’s support last month, he called the former president “American Hitler” and “stupid”.
I enjoyed your book Hillbilly Allergy
