The media reported that Colonel General Sergei Kuzovlev headed the Southern Military District.
At the same time, the Western Military District, previously headed by Kuzovlev, will now be headed by Lieutenant General Yevgeny Nikiforov.
As previously reported, Shoigu “inspected” the headquarters of the Vostok forces group while working in the “special military operations” zone.
In addition, in December last year, two visits by Shoigu to the front line were reported.
