The Russian authorities installed the Patsir-S1 air defense system in the village of Yascherovo in the Novgorod region, six kilometers from the residence of President Vladimir Putin in Valdai. This was reported on Monday by some local media.
The photo of the anti-aircraft installation, allegedly taken by a resident of Valdai, a city located between Moscow and St. Petersburg, was published by the Agency Agency, to which several residents of Yashcherovo and nearby cities confirmed the information.
One of those interviewed by the publication noted that the system works, the radar antenna constantly rotates near the house. Vladimir Putin and at least three soldiers work at the facility.
The publication “Agency” found out that in Yasherovo there is no critical infrastructure or strategic facilities, as well as important companies or large military units.
Russia has also beefed up its air defenses in the capital, more than 700 kilometers from Ukraine, where the Russian army has been campaigning for almost a year.
Last week, Russian media published several photos and videos of Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and artillery systems placed on the roofs of the Russian Defense Ministry and another building in Moscow that went viral on social media.
The Moscow Calling channel published several videos and photographs of an office building in the capital, showing a crane placing something on the roof, and several military trucks next to the equipment.
A few hours later, he posted another video and photo, presumably of the same building, where what he described as “Pantsir-S1 on alert” is already appearing on the roof.
Photos of S-400 air defense systems appeared on the same network near the Losiny Ostrov nature reserve east of the Russian capital and on the territory of the Timiryazev Agricultural Academy north of Moscow. to the Agencia Novosti channel.
Putin congratulates his soldiers
President Vladimir Putin assured that the Russian military campaign in Ukraine continued “positive dynamics” after reports of the capture of Soledar in the east of the country, which Kyiv denied.
“The dynamics are positive, everything is developing according to the plans of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. I hope that our fighters please us with their combat results more,” Putin said in an interview with Russian public television broadcasting this Sunday.
On the airport runway, next to the presidential plane, the president responded to a question from a Rossiya-1 journalist about the “news from Soledar,” which the Russian army claimed on Friday.
The capture of this modest town was presented in Moscow as a victory after many months of failures in Ukraine, in particular the withdrawal from the Kharkov region (east) and the city of Kherson (south) before the Ukrainian counteroffensives.
