In Moldova, at all training grounds of the National Army, from January 24 to February 4, tactical exercises will be held, in which more than 400 soldiers will take part.
This was announced today, January 23, by NewsMaker with reference to the country’s Ministry of Defense.
It is noted that the training is planned to be carried out using all the military equipment available in the army.
The purpose of the exercises is to assess the capabilities and practical skills of all military personnel, both conscripts and contract soldiers, the department noted.
According to the scenario of the exercises, the military will perform various tasks using military equipment, will provide first aid and practice actions in the conditions of a chemical attack.
At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of Moldova claims that these exercises are not related to the war in Ukraine and are taking place in accordance with the plan for training the country’s army for 2023.
During the exercises, columns of military vehicles will move along national roads from range to range, in the central, northern and southern regions of the country. In this regard, we ask citizens not to speculate on the topic of exercises and the movement of military equipment.
Recently, President Maia Sandu said in an interview that the Russian invasion of Ukraine prompted Moldova to think about how to move away from the status of neutrality enshrined in the constitution and enter into a wider alliance.
