Permanent missions of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) began to operate at all nuclear power plants in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of Energoatom on Monday, January 23.
“There are now permanent IAEA missions at all Ukrainian nuclear power plants,” the company said in a statement.
IAEA representatives have visited all Ukrainian nuclear power plants over the past week.
“Today specialists have started working at Khmelnitsky NPP, and now permanent missions will work at Rivne, Chernobyl, South Ukrainian and Khmelnitsky NPPs,” Energoatom emphasizes.
The IAEA reported yesterday that from now on, two experts from this organization will also be present at the Rivne, South Ukrainian and Chernobyl stations.
The IAEA also announced that it will appoint a team of experts on the KhNPP in the coming days.
As previously reported, IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi arrived in Ukraine to ensure the permanent presence of nuclear safety experts at all nuclear power facilities in the country.
