Today, it is impossible to fully assess the extent of the damage from the actions of the invaders, because a significant part of the territories remains occupied.
Since the beginning of the mass invasion, Russian troops have destroyed at least 553 Ukrainian cultural heritage sites. This was announced on Sunday, January 22, by the expert of the National Heritage Office of Poland, Marek Lemesh, reports PolskieRadio.
He noted that he received this information from the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
He also added that the extent of the damage from the occupiers’ actions has yet to be fully assessed.
“In Chernihiv, where we work, thanks only to the work of my friends in Ukraine who collected data on the destruction, there were 38 objects that were officially on the list of destroyed, but now we have doubled the list to this list. Let me remind you that in Chernihiv, Russian military formations were deployed in less than five weeks,” he said.
Minister Tkachenko was forced to ask for help from UNESCO, so that they could help preserve the props and exhibits at the museum in Ukraine.
The sports authorities of Ukraine reported what damage was caused by the widespread invasion of the Kremlin troops in our country.
