The country’s Supreme Court has authorized the confiscation of a $ 325 million superyacht owned by a Russian billionaire.

In Fiji, the Amadea superyacht, owned by Russian billionaire Suleiman Kerimov, will be arrested. The corresponding decision was made by the Supreme Court of Fiji, reports on Tuesday, May 3, Fiji Broadcasting Corp.

It was also reported that after the decision, Faisal Haniff’s lawyer told the court that he would file an application for temporary suspension of arrest.

“He is an attorney for Millemarin Investment Limited, which says he is the registered owner of the superyacht,” the article said.

As you know, Kerimov has been subjected to US, UK and EU sanctions in connection with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Recall that the $ 325 million Amadea ship was detained in Fiji in the first half of April.

Earlier it was reported that US and Spanish authorities arrested the superyacht of Russian businessman Viktor Vekselberg worth $ 90 million.
