The minesweepers “Cherkassy” and “Chernihiv” were spotted on the shores of Great Britain.
Ships M311 and M310 were recorded in the area of the Scottish coast. These are not the same Ukrainian minesweepers, one of which resisted Russian invaders in 2014 at the base of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donuzlav in Crimea. However, the numbers on the side numbers of the ships are the same. This was reported by journalist Andrei Tsaplienko in Telegram.
It is noted that the class of these ships is Sandown and they are built in the UK. The minesweepers were repaired and named after captured Ukrainian ships.
Soon “Chernihiv” and “Cherkassy” will be transferred to the Ukrainian Navy.
Recall, on January 27, the Verkhovna Rada ratified an agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Great Britain, which provides for the purchase by Kyiv of two anti-replacement ships, eight missile ships of joint production and a frigate.
